Ligna Group are the manufacturers and distributors of sustainable building materials, including Timbercrete and Ligna Stone. Ligna Stone is handcrafted by masonry artisans to create beautiful and timeless bricks, blocks, cladding and pavers reminiscent of natural stones like sandstone or travertine. Uniquely sustainable, Ligna Stone comprises over 50% wood waste that produces a product that is light weight, superior in thermal performance, highly fire resistant, load bearing, robust and durable. Able to be nailed, screwed or sawn like timber providing greater workability, in addition to a flexible formula to adjust strength and thermal performance to meet the required application. Ligna Stone has low embodied energy as products are handmade and cure naturally without the use of curing chambers or kilns. A high level of post industrial timber waste is used which sequesters carbon dioxide for the life of the product. The superior thermal insulation reduces energy consumption for heating and cooling. Available in a range of sizes, colours and textures, with the ability to customise to individual requirements. Suitable for feature cladding, brick veneer, cavity brick and single skin walling systems.
