LINK 427 is the consortium responsible for the Design, Construction, Finance and Maintenance of the Highway 427 Expansion Project in Ontario. The Project will be delivered by Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Transportation through the Alternative Finance and Procurement (AFP) model. The term of the concession will be thirty (30) years following the completion of construction.LINK 427's team includes:• Developer: ACS Infrastructure Canada Inc. and Brennan Infrastructures Inc. (a member of the Miller Group of Companies)• Construction: Dragados Canada Inc., Brennan Infrastructures Inc. and Bot Infrastructure Ltd.• Design: MMM Group Ltd. and Thurber Engineering Ltd.LINK 427 will focus on design work first, and construction is expected to start later in 2017 with completion of construction occurring in 2021. The Highway 427 Expansion Project includes:- A new 6.6 kilometer extension from Highway 7 to Major Mackenzie Drive witho Eight lanes from Highway 7 to Rutherford Roado Six lanes from Rutherford Road to Major Mackenzie Drive, ando Three interchanges: Langstaff Road, Rutherford Road and Major Mackenzie Driveo New median High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes- A 4 kilometer road widening from Finch Avenue to Highway 7o From six to eight lanes, Finch Avenue to south of Steeles Avenueo From four to eight lanes, from south of Steeles Avenue to Highway 7o New median High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanesThe Project will address transportation capacity deficiencies, offer relief from congestion on local roads by providing an alternative route for through traffic and meet infrastructure needs to address population and employment growth. This will also allow better and more efficient transportation and flow of goods from the CPR Vaughan Intermodal Facility.
