Linx Dating is an offline boutique matchmaking service and lifestyle brand based in Northern California's Bay Area. Catering to a demographic of affluent and sophisticated clientele primarily from Silicon Valley, the company has achieved national and international acclaim for assisting a niche market of primarily high-tech industry professionals searching for romantic relationships, though it works with individuals from many other industries as well. Andersen has been dubbed "Silicon Valley's Cupid". The company also consults with a team of experts to offer a wide range of potential services to clients, ranging from style and logistics (e.g. wardrobe selection, hair, make-up, and restaurant reservations) to pure date coaching (etiquette, role play, etc.) Linx Dating was founded by former Merrill Lynch financial advisor Amy Andersen in 2003 in Menlo Park, California. In 2000, while living in Palo Alto, the self-declared "love concierge" noticed an apparent surplus of eligible men and a shortage of eligible women in Silicon Valley. Linx was launched with the premise of matching Silicon Valley techies to San Francisco women and bridging that gap. A decade later, her continued success has been attributed to her branding, networking skills, an elite client list, and her intuitive sense of who belongs together; not to mention, the supply for this service continues to meet the demand. The vast majority of male and female clients at Linx have achieved great success in their lives. Clients include influential venture capitalists, angel investors, C-suite executives, academics, start-up founders, entrepreneurs, attorneys, celebrities and international royalty. The Linx clientele base extends beyond Silicon Valley and San Francisco to Los Angeles and New York, as well as many international markets, including, but not limited to, Hong Kong, India, Dubai and Europe.
