Liquid Jazz Lab is an audio/visual recording studio located in the San Francisco/Bay Area. Developed in 2013, this studio facilitates the global collaboration project, Audiophoric as well as Colorado-based music project, PoLR, a side-project created by Brian Kato and Jeff Gust. PoLR demonstrates a sound that has evolved into a fusion of textural ambience, down tempo groove, and haunting melodies; where Audiophoric embraces the Jazz and World musical influences. While Gust and Kato have both spent years within the progressive metal and hard rock arena, POLR is a dramatic shift from their expected genres. Influences from VAST, Massive Attack, and Crosses are undeniable as the band explores the realms of electronic music.Furthermore, Audiophoric represents an avante garde approach to music composition and recording production, as a majority of the 27 contributing artists all reside in different states or countries around the world.
