The mission of Liquidity Providers Ltd [LPL] is to generate a risk-adjusted return from the cryptocurrency ecosystem that exceeds that of the broader crypto market, as well as competing funds, over the long term. We accomplish this by investing in crypto assets, providing liquidity to DeFi and CeFi markets, and participating in the incentivized operation of DeFi protocols. Founded in 2017 as the Principal Trading Desk at the Maker Foundation (MakerDAO), LPL was created to seed liquidity in new Dai markets. In 2018 the desk was handed over to Joseph Quintilian, who has over 20 years of experience trading various securities and derivatives markets, and the scope of the business was expanded to include a general treasury management function for the Maker Foundation. LPL has been at the forefront of the DeFi movement since its inception, and its team has an unparalleled combination of experience in the legacy financial, tech and crypto industries. The intention moving forward is for LPL to expand its operations to a broader investor class as a generalized crypto hedge fund.
