LIS began in 1993 as a group of construction industry professionals (many former county employees) who were tired of the corporate structures of the big firms. Founder Bob Case, P.E. wanted not only to work for himself, but to break from the square thinking often associated with engineers; he decided that the best way to do this was to engineer a new environment to his liking. LIS is a creative and free thinking firm that has had many incarnations in its 24 years. There have been many successes and learning experiences along the way.
