We offer individualized tutoring instruction that is unique to each individual and their learning style. A wide variety of literacy skills can be addressed including: oral language, vocabulary, reading fluency, reading accuracy, word-level decoding/accuracy, spelling, reading comprehension, handwriting, grammar, phonological awareness, writing, etc. Intervention plans are customized to each student in order to be the most productive to the student and and their time.Our tutoring helps students diagnosed with dyslexia, but it also works for any child who struggles with decoding. We will screen your child to measure what type of help they need.Intervention typically begins with 2-5 hours of instruction per week depending on your child's needs. An individualized program will be designed for each student and weekly sessions will decrease as your child approaches grade level. A minimum of two sessions a week are required for dyslexia services.Literacy intervention builds the skills necessary to access regular and/or special education classroom services. Children may be unable to benefit from the general curriculum due to the severity of their literacy difficulties.
