Inspired by Little Free Library.org®, Little Free Pantry was the mini-pantry that launched a global movement. Little Free Pantry is both a physical space and an idea. Mini-pantry stewards provide a small, detached structure into which neighbors crowdsource pantry and personal care items available to anyone any time no questions asked. Through mini-pantries, neighbors help neighbors. All are invited to "Take what you need. Give what you can."Little Free Pantry's real value, though, is in its ability to engage and bridge the empathy gap. Little Free Pantry asserts our communities actively choose engagement, empathy, and trust, that given an opportunity, this is who we really are...neighbors who help neighbors because we all have needs we cannot meet on our own.
