Family owned apiary business located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.With a beekeeping experience of over 28 years Virgil Parlea built his own beehive at the young age of 14 in his home country Romania.Virgil studied Apiculture ( beekeeping) at the "Viaceslav Harnaj" Technological College in Bucharest for 4 years and then obtained a scholarship at the UNIVERSITY OF AGRONOMIC SCIENCES AND VETERINARY MEDICINE OF BUCHAREST where he finished with Honors and received the title of Diplomate Engineer.After abroad experience in Austria and Germany, Virgil was offered a beekeeping job in New Zealand at the age of 23. After working for one of the most reputable beekeeping companies in New Zealand and eventually becoming business partner with his former employee Virgil decided along with his wife who followed him to NZ to have beehives of their own.Now with a young family, Virgil's children Victoria 3 yo and Stefan 18 months old share their dad's life long passion and they are truly involved with the little worker bees.Wife Carmen left her corporate job and decided to put her own spin on the honey business, looking at innovating and sustainable ways to bring the super food on peoples "tables".Their products include Active NZ Manuka, Tawari Honey, Bush Honey, Infused and Artisan honey.They are also developing 100% Beeswax products and Bath and Spa Products.Their products are 100% Natural and they are intending at using 100% recyclable packaging and using only NZ suppliers for their non apiary ingredients.
