Live Edge Detroit is a premier supplier of rough-sawn urban wood and finished products, salvaged from trees that once grew in the Metro-Detroit neighborhoods we know and love. For years, our team watched these downed trees get chopped into firewood or go through a wood chipper, and we knew there had to be a better option.In 2016, Live Edge Detroit was founded as a branch of a local tree care company, Mike's Tree Surgeons, Inc. We work hand-in-hand daily with our in-house tree crews to salvage as many urban trees as possible. Our wood is milled and dried at our warehouse in Troy and made available to the public for purchase in the form of live edge slabs, rounds, beams, burls, and more. We also offer a carefully curated collection of finished goods made from our locally salvaged urban wood supply. Our vision is to preserve these beautiful pieces of urban wood so that they can be transformed and enjoyed by others for many years to come.
