LiveSmart is a Texas nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by a middle school student to teach life skills to middle & high schoolers. These are the critical habits such as managing your time, dealing with conflicting priorities in school & personal life, working in teams and with people who's views are different from your own, etc. - the things adults normally learn once they start working.LiveSmart's mission has resonated with the community, and has received strong support from students, parents, and local organizations. Fort Bend ISD, where LiveSmart started, is supporting expansion of LiveSmart High School Clubs in its district. In the 2013-14 school year, LiveSmart reached 120 high school students, and held its first Leadership Summit which attracted 80 students from 18 different high schools from Fort Bend, Houston, and even as far away as McAllen, Texas.
