Living Grace Canine Ranch founder Rhonda Minardi's call-to-action was three-fold. Her elderly mother was no longer able to live in her home and was concerned about the well-being of her older dog. Rhonda also experienced an animal shelter Christmas gifting initiative where most senior dogs were overlooked, so she felt compelled to provide toys and blankets for over 20 senior dogs. She then rescued a severely abused and neglected senior dog, Gracie, who had been over-bred and used as a bait dog in dog fighting. Gracie was blind with a hearing impairment and had over 100 bites to her face and body as well as bullet fragments in her leg. She was also heartworm and hookworm positive with a collapsed trachea. Although Gracie endured years of abuse and neglect, she still had so much love to give. These experiences drove Rhonda to create Living Grace Canine Ranch, a safe and loving place for senior dogs that aren't often re-homed in surrenders, neglect and animal hoarding situations. More than a place for dogs to live, Living Grace Canine Ranch is a permanent home where emotionally, medically, and physically challenged senior dogs can thrive and forever feel safe, protected, and unconditionally loved.Through our Senior Canine Caregiver Program, our ranch residents receive 24/7 vet care, age-appropriate quality food, annual medical exams, dental cleanings, routine grooming, certified behaviorist ‘need'-based assessments, and a game plan for socialization.Living Grace Canine Ranch is 100% funded by public donations from compassionate individuals and local business owners. On behalf of our volunteers and senior residents, we thank our contributors for their kindness to un-adoptable dogs that desire only one thing from humans, to be loved. To donate: https://donorbox.org/living-grace-canine-ranch
