Living Planet Earth (LPE) is an economical modular system which removes the salt and minerals from seawater through the use of naturally abundant solar energy. LPE also generates electricity and the resulting pure water and electricity can being added to a utility grid or irrigate arid land. Desert land can be reclaimed by irrigating and foresting with bamboo. Portable units provide fresh water and electricity to mobile hospitals in the event of an emergency.
