Architecture & Planning - Denver, Colorado, United States
We're based in Denver and work domestically and internationally. Our services include two practice areas. First is our traditional site design and construction specification work generally consulting to architects, engineers, and other planning, design and construction practitioners. Second is our prime consulting to owners, operators, and investors to plan and design sites and biosystems that support and sustain site and building operations, essentially creating ecodistricts. In both capability areas our clients can expect improved qualities of user and visitor experience and other benefits listed below. In many cases the improvements will drive either new or enhanced relationships between the client and its served population or community. • Onsite generation of renewable power will reduce the fossil fuel toxicity on the planet and reduce operating costs for the client. • Production of local, organic, clean food will supply the client with edibles it can provide to its constituents, improving health and variety of foods and virtually eliminating transportation labor, equipment, and fossil fuel toxicity. • Local processing of waste materials by shredding, smelting, composting and vermiculture will reduce hauling and overall quantities of waste, closing the loop on externalities and fossil fuel use required for its transport. Instead it will be used as a resource for heat, fuel, and soil development for use by plants. • Wastewater systems will support plant and animal life, generate food, supply electricity all hours through fuel cells, and generate clean water sources on site for a variety of uses.We help clients 'develop' their sites and operations in a qualitative sense, by respecting our matrix of living tissue (the landscape) and its systems of relationships. We recognize that attaining sustainability means reconnecting with the living systems that support and nourish our biosphere.
