Llikchary Institute Details
Llikchary is a Kichwa word, which means to open your eyes and appreciate all the things you have. Danny Gualinga is a indigenous man from the Sani Island Kichwa community of Ecuador. His goal is to open the eyes of the youth in his community and the international community to the cultural richness of his people. Founders Danny Gualinga and Anja Robel, will begin construction on the Llikchary Institute in the summer of 2015. This Institute is meant to provide economic and education opportunities to the local community while educating international students on the same medicinal, native plant and cultural traditions. With your help we can all make a difference in the Ecuadorian Amazon. We will launch the fundraising campaign in January of 2015, we hope you can contribute!
