LLONGUERAS CLOTET ARCHITECTS, founded in 1985 by Rosa Clotet and Jan Llongueras, has worked in the public health system, local government, and the Barcelona city council, as well as giving lectures on architecture at the local university. Currently, their architectural services are mainly dedicated to the public sector, housing, refurbishments, education and public spaces, with a special emphasis on enhancing environments for healthcare. The aim of the studio is to go advance in their specialization of the humanization of public hospitals for children or adults, without ignoring sustainability aspects.AWARDS AND ACTIVITIES- 1st Prize at the International Barcelona Pools Awards in 2013 for Innovation and Sustainability.- LCA was awarded the first prize by AVS (Spanish Association of Public Sector Developers for Housing and Land) for the best sustainable project for public housing in Spain in 2008.- LCA was selected as speakers by Higher council of Architects of Spain /CSCAE for the World Congress of Sustainable Architecture/ "Sustainable Building 2008" in Melbourne, Australia.- LCA was included in the world guide "The Little Green Book" of 2009.- 1st Prize awarded by the Government of Andalusia (Regional Ministry of Finance and Economy): High-Resolution Specialty Centre and Hospital, Cordoba, Spain. 2006.- National 1st Prize at Barcelona's Construmat for Housing Rehabilitation and Reused, by ITEC (Construction Technology Institute of Catalonia) and CSCAE
