The Loewenberg College of Nursing (LCON), situated in a diverse metropolitan community, is committed to the preparation of nursing professionals who share a common goal of promoting health and achieving health equity of the global community. Both the baccalaureate and master's programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.The Loewenberg College of Nursing BSN Program is a five-semester (2.5 years), full-time program offered at the Memphis and Lambuth campuses. Summer terms may be offered, but are not guaranteed, due to faculty availability, clinical sites, and other resources. Student who have already earned a Bachelor's degree or higher are eligible for the 5-semester Traditional BSN program or the 4-semester Accelerated Program. All nursing students must complete the General Education Curriculum required for all students at the University of Memphis.The online RN to BSN Program is flexible, accessible, and affordable. Nursing faculty are committed to providing high quality, individualized, and learner-centered education for existing registered nurses who possess an Associate Degree in Nursing. The online RN-to-BSN program is accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Tennessee Board of Nursing, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is offered primarily on-line full-time or part-time plan of study.
