A New Zealand based boat design company providing naval architecture, exterior styling, structural and marine engineering expertise to the private, Government and commercial sectors worldwide. The company has gained global recognition with a number of designs, including International Superyacht award nominations and winners for a range of innovative pleasure craft. It is also proud to hold UIM and Guinness ratified world records for fastest circumnavigation of the globe by a power boat (the bio-fuel powered trimaran Earthrace), and the first circumnavigation of the world by a solar powered vehicle (the catamaran Turanor Planet Solar). A first principles approach allows LOMOcean to offer a broad range of innovative hull forms including planing and displacement mono-hulls, catamarans, trimarans and foil assisted wave piercers. In combination with utilising a range of construction materials, from steel and aluminium to wood, GRP and advanced composites, this allows for design centred, fully integrated solutions that meet the requirements of each specific brief. The LOMOcean Marine team comprises of qualified naval architects, engineers and draughtspersons, with a number of the designers formerly working as boat builders and hands on engineers, bringing strong practical knowledge to the drawing board.
