Originally formed in 1954, the firm of Lonstein & Stapleton was a general practice firm formed by Benjamin Lonstein and Robert V. Stapleton. In 1956 Albert I Lonstein joined the firm expanding the practice from general litigation and business law into representation of some of the nations first "wired" television services ( today known as Cable TV). Albert Lonstein was part of the formation of Ellenville Wired TV which was eventually sold to Simmons Communications, Inc. It was at this point that Wayne Lonstein joined the firm in 1987 with a specialization in Federal Court Litigation as well as Sports and Entertainment Law. Julie Lonstein joined the firm in 1990 and immediately crafted a niche practice in the Sports and Entertainment field representing Sports Promoters, Athletes, Content Producers, Broadcasters, Cable and Satellite Companies.
