Loonies' mission is to create a place where customers feel truly cared about and closely connected to their community while enjoying the best brewed coffee in town and where employees are treated with the same care and concern as customers. Loonies uses the power of generosity to help improve the mental health of the Quad Cities by working to end the stigma of mental health struggles and improving access to services.It started with a conversation full of frustration, personal experiences, and a lot of laughter. The plan was crazy enough to work: open a coffee shop to bring people together, run it in a way that puts customers' and employee's' mental well being first, and use profits to fund nonprofits that work to reduce stigma and increase access to mental health services in the Quad Cities.And that's exactly what we did.
