Lorie Savin is a candidate for the open judicial seat on the Oakland County Circuit Court. Ms. Savin is an award winning referee with almost 25 years of experience in family law. Her expertise has been widely praised during her 17 years of service to the Court and the families of Oakland County. She is a published author on family law and ethics, as well as a public speaker on the issue. She is President if the Referees Association of Michigan. She is an appointee on the State Bar of Michigan's Judicial Ethics Committee and State Bar of Michigan's Professionalism Workgroup. Ms. Savin grew up in Oak Park and Southfield, where she attended public schools. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Wayne State University Law School.Ms. Savin, her husband Adam Larky, and their two daughters live in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She is active in her community, including volunteer work for her local schools. She is a member of Temple Israel.
