Library - Loudonville, OH, US
Established in 1905, the Loudonville Public Library began as a "reading room" organized by a group of dedicated citizens who raised funds and performed the tasks necessary to create a formal public library. The library moved to various locations throughout the village before finding its current location next to Central Park in the heart of Loudonville. The current 26,000+ square foot facility is the result of a 1976 building project that has been enhanced through exdpansions in 1982 and 2001 respectively. The library's materials and services havae evolved to meet patron demands and to account for changes in technology and the delivery of information, resulting in a modern and professional organization that is devoted to serving the public in a meaningful and valuable way. The library is currently a member of the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) Consortium, sharing materials and an online catalog with public libraries across the state. This relationship expands the materials available to our patrons to over six million items coming from approximately 175 locations.
