Restaurants - LaGrange, Georgia, United States
We have entertained many on our various back porches around the Southeast with our time-tested favorites, and now we are proud to share our experience with you!!!The name Low Country comes from our start in St. Simons Island, GA, where we moved after meeting and marrying in Atlanta in 1999. There we began hosting Oyster Roasts, Low Country Boils, and any other fare we could think as a reason to have a great time with good friends.Next we moved to New Orleans, LA, then Birmingham, AL before landing back in Atlanta where it all began. We sought to escape Atlanta and put down roots for our family, so we moved to Carmin's childhood home town of LaGrange in August of 2008. We have picked up some authentic and unique recipes along the way, so we call our style of restaurant Southern Coastal Cuisine - encompassing favorites from the Low Country of the Coastal Carolinas and Georgia all the way across to the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Our commitment to you is to prepare your food fresh and to order. We hand cut and trim all of our meats ourselves, so we are able to buy steakhouse quality Choice Black Angus Beef and serve our steaks to you at a reasonable price. Our shrimp is all USA Wild Caught, and our recipes are authentic to the regions from which they come - at least as good as the memory of our taste buds will allow.Put it all together and we hope you agree that we have a winning combination - and because of our adventurous spirit and nomadic past, we are always listening to folks for suggestions on their favorites too.It is our belief we are here to share our place with you, and that our hospitality will make you feel right at home.We encourage you to slow down and enjoy good friends, good conversations and good food – the Low Country Way. Thanks for letting us serve you!!!- Carmin & Clay Ogata
