THE NAMEThe name LOWELL is inspired by the city in Massachusetts USA, historically known as a hub of textile mills and manufacturers.A city that welcomed an important wave of French-Canadian labor immigration at the end of the 19th century and that can be considered as the heart of a tight-knit bond between Quebec and the U.S.A city reminiscent of the times when goods were still produced here, in North America, where people valued hard work and craftsmanship. The kind of work that reflected great care for details, quality and durability.A city where the great American writer Jack Kerouac was born and raised… just like the great-grandmothers of the founders of LOWELL, Rachel and Mathieu, also born in the eponymous city of Massachusetts.LE NOMLe nom LOWELL est inspiré de la ville au Massachusetts (USA) qui, comme Montréal, représentait pendant très longtemps un centre manufacturier du textile. Une ville qui, à la fin du 19e siècle, a connu d'importantes vagues d'immigration ouvrière canadienne-française et a tissé des liens très particuliers entre le Québec et les USA.Une ville témoin d'une époque où les objets étaient encore fabriqués ici, en Amérique du Nord, et où les gens valorisaient le travail et le savoir-faire de ses artisans locaux, le souci des détails, la qualité et la durabilité.Une ville qui a vu naître et grandir le grand auteur américain Jack Kerouac... mais aussi deux des arrière-grand-mères respectives de Rachel et Mathieu, créateurs de la marque.
