• Join us on a quest for artistic delicacies in some of the smaller medieval towns north of Florence. We'll draw in museums and paint in the piazza over lunch while we soak up the atmosphere and street-life of these Northern Italian sites. We'll visit two major cities, Milan, home to the ‘Last Supper' and the Brera Museum, and Florence, full of Renaissance treasures. Verona, fictional home to Romeo and Juliet, evokes the romance of an era, still. We'll spend a day in Palladio's Vicenza and pay homage to Mantegna in Mantova's Ducal Palazzo. We'll spend a day exploring and drawing in medieval Lucca. Finally, we'll end our tour in Santa Margherita Ligure, above the spectacular Cinque Terre. •For first timers, this will make all that Italian art history come alive and you'll kick yourself for not doing this sooner! For returnees to Florence, we'll add new delights and you'll have more time to savor your favorites. You don't have to be an artist but do need good feet and a healthy appetite for art. As returnees know, one can never get enough... Italy is 'user friendly', the people are generous, the food is fabulous and everywhere you look indoors or out, you are in a museum. The muses will accompany you on your return and masterpieces will ensue, I Promise!
