Due to the complex design of the ENFit Connector, cleaning and removal of nutritional formula in feeding tubes may be more difficult and risk of contamination could increase. Conventional cleaning methods (cottons balls, cotton swabs, wipes, toothbrushes) may be less effective since they can not make contact with the difficult internal ENFit geometries. Of particular concern is the accumulation of biofilm producing organisms on the underside surfaces of the internal screw threads. Visual inspection will not be able to detect this hidden potential source of contamination.The Patented EnClean Brushes are designed to fit between, over and under the threads and clean all the way to the bottom of the EnFit Connector. It removes debris and thoroughly cleans the internal threads of the EnFit Connector. All EnClean brush bristles are made using a germ-resistant fiber material. The reusable version is designed to last for a minimum of 30 days, when cleaned according to IFU, and is intended for maximum cleaning and time efficiency in the Hospital, Nursing Home and Home-care environments. It features a self centering catheter lumen occluder to keep clean solution and debris from entering into the catheter. This version can also be customized with your company logo.
