LunaDome is an experimental payload which aims to create and maintain a habitable atmosphere in an inflatable dome on the lunar surface. As one of the Lab2Moon competition winners, the experiment has secured a place on one of the world's first commercial lunar exploration mission with TeamIndus and OrbitBeyond in 2020. The 0.25kg payload will provide data to help establish whether similar systems can be scaled-up for future human habitation. It will also demonstrate the superior packing efficiency, mass and cost of expandable modules compared with rigid counterparts.
