With the record number of 30,500 visitors, 262 international guests, 424 press and professional accreditations, and 192 screenings in 2018, Luxembourg City Film Festival has firmly established itself as the nation's leading cinema event. Since its inception in 2011 it is one of Europe's festivals with the most spectacular growth.Supported by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Luxembourg, it is the country's official film festival. With this in mind, the Festival is committed to presenting high-quality, exclusive content of undeniable artistic value, featuring a vast panorama of contemporary fiction and documentary films, special screenings, and an extensive young audiences programme in the three partner cinema complexes (Ciné Utopia, Kinepolis Kirchberg, and the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg). Besides these cinema screenings, the Festival also dares to venture beyond film theatres, hosting events, workshops, exhibitions and concerts in many of the capital's cultural institutions, and cooperating with international partners, among others the United Nations, diplomatic representations, and the European Film Academy.Luxembourg City Film Festival's 12th edition will take place from 3rd >13th March 2022.
