Welcome to M and EM's and Meredith Jaye, lifestyle boutiques, located in the heart of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a charming and sophisticated western suburb of Chicago. In March 2000, my husband and I were on a ski vacation in Telluride, Colorado, and we stumbled upon a quaint children's boutique that embodied a simple but sophisticated retail experience. I had found my calling. It was on that trip that our M and EM's concept began to come into focus. The vision for our shop, what we represent, and our passion for family led us to the name, M and EM's, after our two daughters, Mackenzie and Emmerson, and it was perfect!We opened our doors in August 2000 in downtown Wheaton, Illinois, in the historic Knippen Shoe Building and five years later we realized we had outgrown our space. Wanting to stay close to the community, we moved just down the road to beautiful downtown Glen Ellyn. This has been our home for the last 15 years and we feel so blessed!Having grown from a baby and children's boutique to a one-stop shop for everyone on your list is a dream come true. Our customers asked for more and we listened. It is with this growth that we opened our home and women's store three years ago. Meredith Jaye, the middle names of our girls, is a curated selection of women's clothing, accessories, and home decor. Whether you are looking for the perfect gift or a great addition to your home, we have you covered. Our knowledgable staff, some who have been with me since Day 1, is always available to assist.
