One that encourages movement as opposed to one with policies that discourage it. MaaS is the path to solving funding, congestion and environmental issues – and maintaining integrated lives. A MaaS model must incentivize the private sector, be inclusive to the public and ensure transit continues to fulfill its historic role symbiotic with private providers and user's preferences. America's mobility mindset must evolve beyond the scarcity model, where actions and policies are based on limiting how we move around. It must implement the abundance model, where ‘success' means mutually beneficial results to all involved, where all parties appreciate the uniqueness and contributions of others and where there is opportunity for growth and development. MaaS America supports the abundance mindset and a MaaS Model that preserves the choice of modes and levels of service and advocates for solutions and policies that encourage travel, which makes for a more dynamic economy and satisfying public life.
