Maasai Music Project Details
The Maasai Music Project (MMP) is a joint educational, cross-cultural venture involving the Cincinnati Zoo, Miami University, the African Conservation Center, and the Environmental Club (E-Club) of Westlake City Schools, Westlake, Ohio. It will be the first of its kind involving American and African teens partnering to speak with a collective voice through an interdisciplinary language of music, art, and hard science. This is Phase I of a multi-year program. Future phases will include additional collaborative trips to Africa and other possible locations (Trinidad, and Tobago), as well as the production of a television series, videos, books, music, live performances, and additional outreach programs.
