As seen on CNBC's Restaurant Startup, mac-O-licious, LLC. is a gourmet mac'n'cheese business. A flagship restaurant space opened in Valley Village on September 23, 2014. Currently, mac-O-licious targets Catering, Studios, Farmers Markets, Festivals, Supplier distribution. The Brick and Mortar is a higher-end Quick Service and Carry-out restaurant. Mac-O-licious was named the Top Mac and Cheese in a Restaurant by Cheeserank, and is on the list of The Best Food Period. Initially, mac-O-licious launched as a Food Truck business, focused on events, festivals, corporate bookings, and catering. There were challenges with equipment failures, truck accidents and breakdowns, and inconsistent food quality due to unreliable equipment. Finally, the Truck expenses proved too costly for a market that is becoming increasingly overcrowded in the Los Angeles area. Hence, Kelly moved to "expense-cutting mode", and shut down the truck, transitioning to Farmers Markets, Events, Catering and Delivery until a stable Brick and Mortar location could be established. A day after filming "Restaurant Start-up" on CNBC Prime, Kelly was driving down Laurel Canyon Blvd. She saw a sign that said, "For Lease". She turned her van around to stop and capture the phone number. She took one look at the inside and knew it was meant to be. "When I saw the window in this moderately sized space, I knew this was the place I had visions about." The rest is history.…and the future.
