In 1976 MACK Industrial engineers designed the first oil free air compressor for the DeVilbiss company in Toledo, OH. Since 1994 MACK has been manufacturing its own oil free compressor parts. Through the years the company has worked hard to develop the longest lasting OEM piston cup material on the market today. When this long lasting cup material is combined with MACK's proprietary cylinder sleeve technology the customer receives the highest level of durability an air compressor can achieve. In 2015 MACK partnered with an aluminum tubing mill in Germany. This is the same mill in which it purchases its aluminum tubing for air compressor cylinders. Through this partnership MACK sells seamless extruded and cold drawn aluminum tubing. Contracts with a very large and diverse group of US businesses have been awarded, including Tier 1 automotive suppliers for use as driveshafts and oxygen concentrator manufacturers for use as sieve bed tubes. These types of customers are welcomed because they demand the tightest tolerances and highest standards for aluminum tubing. All of which MACK Industrial is able to produce for them on a large scale.
