As one of Canada's Historic Places the Mackie Lake House Foundation fosters events, programs, and projects that promote and support local history, culture, architecture, art and education in the community. The Mackie Lake House Foundation is mandated to "preserve and present the buildings, grounds, furnishings and related history of Mackie Lake House for the enjoyment and education of the public." Delight in the timeless elegance of this superbly crafted 1910 Heritage Home year round.We manage Fylton Forest which promotes discovery, interpretation, and natural history for School District #22 students. In addition, the Foundation works together with the Vernon Public Art Gallery to create an Artist in Residence Program which provides Canadian artists with a place to work and exhibit.
