Government Administration - Jerusalem, , Israel
Why? Because schools are using outdated educational methods to teach outdated skills; and because Israel always needs a readymade online system for emergencies. Whom ? More than 100,000 students do not attend state-recognized schools and therefor fall behind: dropouts, children with special needs, "at risk", Bedouins, ultra-Orthodox, and specially-gifted. In addition, we approach Jewish children in the diaspora and Israeli children living abroad are looking for Jewish/Israeli alternative schooling. How? A holistic approach, tending to learning, life skills and social skills. Personalized and group (max 12 students) learning, using advanced technological tools, that saves time and focuses on the needs of the student. Students take online courses (taped and real-time) led by first-rate teachers; submit exercises to receive feedbacks; choose daily sport lessons; decide on study topics in which to expand; join social activity throughout the year; interact with friends in an online learning AND social community; and volunteer weekly, according to their ability and compatibility. Each student is accompanied by a mentor. This mentor holds personal AND group virtual meetings. The mentor pays a home visit twice a year. What do we aim to achieve? Independent learners. A student who is responsible for his/her academic and personal development, but is not left alone in the process, and is neither lonely nor socially-detached. Tight mentoring and a variety of fields of knowledge from which to choose will enhance personal growth. State-certified high school diplomas. We are going to change the concept of schooling worldwide. We will do good and we will do well. We are looking for partners and investors to join us in taking this innovative plan to the next level and transform the educational system for thousands of children. We would love to do it with you!Learn more at www.macom.school
