In 2010, we thought of creating our own flavor of what a Venture Capital firm could be, and Magaskawee was born. We believe that operational excellence builds long lasting, profitable brands, and we operate our portfolio with our cofounders, hands-on. Our passion is to build scalable, successful brands, and our purpose is to create value for our brands' customers, cofounders, shareholders, and our bottom line. Being a US company we chose a Native American name, just like a lot of the US states. Magaskawee is a Native American Sioux name for girls and the meaning of Magaskawee is "graceful." We briefly rebranded in 2013 as Aspen Acquisitions, however we have gone back to our original, graceful name, Magaskawee.
