Magdalen is a working organic farm and residential education centre based at Winsham, near Chard in Somerset. We also make a fantastic setting for accommodation, events, venue hire and offer a range of courses mainly based around rural skills.Our main work is creating tailor-made education programmes for primary and secondary schools and care farming experiences for children and adults with learning disabilities and/or challenging social backgrounds.Our diverse landscape, animals and purpose-built residential centre provides a safe and secure environment to learn about organic farming, sustainability and nature. We are based within 132 acres of beautiful rolling countryside are along the banks of the River Axe on the Somerset-Dorset border.We offer indoor accommodation for up to 50 people and have additional camping options. We also provide high quality home cooked food - much of which comes straight from the farm.The residential centre and the majority of the surrounding grounds are wheelchair accessible and we also have all terrain ‘Tramper' wheelchairs and a fully accessible ‘Gold Standard' changing place. We have also created a camping experience suitable for wheelchair users.
