Founded in 2018, Magpie Factory is the evolution of a film collaboration between Wyatt Bunce and William J. L. Hamilton that began in 2015. Focusing on dark, primal, psychological narratives, Magpie Factory produces films that navigate the boundary of tragedy and comedy, and explore the uncanny in modern life. Since 2015, we have taken our films to Cannes, Austin, Hollyshorts, and Newcastle film festivals. We are currently in pre-production on our first feature film, Killer Whales, a dark satire presenting the nightmare version of apartment hunting in L.A..
