Mahfuzul Islam is a lifelong District 24 resident. He is a product of his Queens Village community, having lived here his entire life. He graduated from its public schools and uses its public transportation and public spaces every day. He and his extended family have lived, worked, and persevered to build a decent life in New York. He is running for New York State Assembly, which is comprised of Bellerose, Briarwood, Glen Oaks, Hollis, Queens Village, Jamaica, Richmond Hill. He is running in order to build Participatory Democracy, Inclusive Economic Development, and an Improved Quality of Life for residents of New York's 24th. As a part of this campaign, District 24 residents will be integral to developing the Open Democracy Platform through face-to-face neighborhood assemblies as well as digital platforms. Join and help create a movement for a more engaged community and democracy.
