Maine Shellfish Developers is growing Maine oysters using sustainable and ecologically sound technology. Our model can produce seedling and market size oysters year-round and insulated from major weather and environmental risks. We are located at teh Waldobor Marine Park in Waldobor Maine and the Darling Marine Center in Walpole, Maine. DMC is a University of Maine facility dedicated to incubating Aquaculture technology and business development. We are combining recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology with proprietary feed formula to grow oyster seedlings and mature oysters year-round in a shore-side facility. The result is a delicious, low cost, sustainable oyster, prized by oyster connoisseurs.
