MAIS Learning Details
MAIS Learning provides a variety of services related to teaching communicative English in the foreign language context. MAIS has 45 students enrolled in its lessons, ranging from children to doctors. All of the lessons focus on developing communicative English via a combination of webcam lessons and gamified Moodle pages with listening and speaking activities. In addition to providing lessons, MAIS also does consultant work that focuses on (1) helping independent English teachers in Japan create a comprehensive social media marketing strategy; and (2) building Moodle courses for independent English teachers. MAIS also regularly does research related to educational technology and second language acquisition, which contributes to the development of pedagogically and theoretically sound materials. MAIS Learning is the result of RedCup English, which was a service that solely focused on Skype lessons.
