Filmmaker and cancer survivor, Jared Morgan is an altruistic artist who's been painting stories since his days in the cancer ward. Whether writing poetry, making a photo collage, or directing a short film, Jared makes art simply because he needs to. It's a creative journey that helps others do the same, like his days teaching arts & crafts at a cancer camp. And now he's imagined a project that culminates his myriad experiences into one powerfully moving documentary. With a decade of experience in the film industry, Jared has touched just about every area of production. He's manned the camera, designed the sets, and worked extensively in visual effects. He's helmed his own short films and assisted on major studio pictures (The Wild, Sin City). And no stranger to documentary filmmaking, he was Assistant Producer to Bill Jersey on his award-winning series The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow. Most recently, Jared has taken on San Francisco's advertising world, prepping budgets and coordinating graphics for heavy-hitting brands such as Sprint, Adobe, and Ask.com.It's this fusion of filmmaker, cancer survivor, and sympathetic artist that make Jared a director/prodcer whose time has come.
