"Internet? Shmitternet!" J. Bezos, 1999 -At Make Europe, we build Web3 powered Communities with the help of digital Blockchain-Technology. "Make" was founded in a garage on the €uropean Central Bank's doorstep in 2015. We focus on creating social rather than purely economic value, because we trust that there is no misalignment between customer and stakeholder interests in the long-run. We are tech-positive people emerging from a network of Makerspaces in the greater Frankfurt/M, Germany area.Four stories from Make Europe's speedy life:In 2015, we used the Bitcoin Network to create a first small coin-based event economy at one ouf our Maker Faires (find out more at make-rhein-main.de)In 2017, we sold the first ever coinless Eventicket registered on the Ethereum Blockchain to German consumers against FIAT money. We did it without overspending on gas whilst remaining fully compliant with all regulatory stipulations. Scanning the ticket from a mobile App was possible in real time.In 2020, our Corona-safety concept helped a local techno club to re-open with municipal consent. That way, more than 3,000 Frankfurters at 12 events were able to enjoy music and civic culture without fear, leaving great tips for the service staff.In 2022, we won the Celo-sponsored "Mobile Track" of the world's largest Web3-Hackathon EthDenver. We also took Bounties from the US-state of Colorado and the Polkadot Web3 Foundation.
