The Coalition has a mandate to inform and educate employers about the realties (versus the myths) and the benefits of hiring and retaining persons with disabilities. The focus is on providing member businesses with increased opportunities in finding applicably skilled employees.It's not about being nice....it's good business.A key component of the strategy to acheive this mandate is acknowledging and celebrating those employers who "get it" and are forward thinking and progressive with respect to persons with disabilities in their human resource policies and practices.A member based organization, Making Cent$ of Abilities provides: ~ Workshops and seminars to assist companies in ensuring they are compliant with local legislation ~ Insights into developing and implementing best practices ~ Access to a variety of resources to help employers realize the benefits of hiring persons with disabilities ~ Forums to share their successes in this area
