Malmö Nation is a non-profit organization at Lund University, dating back from year 1674 but founded in 1890. Malmö Nation has 37 different committees and more than 500 active members annually and serves as an antithesis or as a complement outside of the hectic everyday life as a student. Malmö Nation is based in the central area of old Lund right by the Botanical Gardens where it has four properties housing over 300 students, a pub/restaurant and a night club. Malmö Nation is, with its 2800 + members, the second largest Nation in Lund but largest in turns of operations. Malmö Nation run operations every day which expands from committees organizing: annual galas with 450+ persons seated which makes it one of the largest tailcoat seatings in Scandinavia, hunting, annual events and concerts with thousands of guests and world famous artists, food – ranging from everyday lunch priced at $3,5 to fine dining tasting menu. All of the previously mentioned, along with 33 other committees are run by our 90 elected foremen and 420 volunteers. The top management for the organization is called "Quratel" which consists of five elected officials, that are employed full time. The Board of Malmö Nation is called "seniorskollegiet" that handle everything of strategic, long term and substantial financial matters.
