Maltings Organic Treatment is an organic waste company dedicated to the full recovery, processing, re-use and treatment of organic liquids and solids. Established in 2008 to aid with landfill diversion and the ever growing volume of food waste, the company and facility has since divorced to handle the most complex of organic waste streams through varying methods of recovery. The site boasts a permitted capacity of 225,000 tons per year annum which is split across three permitted treatment and recovery systems, including in-vessel composting, liquid waste treatment and mechanical biological treatment (MBT), with scope to build further processes such as energy production.
