Manage Operations celebrates its 25 Anniversary in 2009. As Ki Research, Ki NETWORKS and finally MO, we have strived to build software bridges first between network protocol stacks TCP/IP and DECnet/LAT/MOP and in the last 15 years islands of computing! Most large company data centers have many types of hardware platforms and OSs and many types of remote management access hardware and remote power units. MO provides the software on a hardware appliance to bridge this islands of computing and make them manageable from a single, unified product that includes. 1. the means for system admins to easily and securely collaborate from anywhere to quickly resolve trouble 2. a complete audit trail of all inputs and outputs to each target including the ability to capture output going only to the serial command port and provide a clear reason why servers crash as the command output is captured. 3. the means to share LPAR connections off of the IBM HMC. Previously there was no way to collaborate on an LPAR connection and collaborative activity for the uplogix devices.4. centralized control of all access to all Servers with a connection history including user, time in/out and how they were disconnected as well as control of all power operations in a transparent fashion5. collaborative access to ILO, LOM, Sparc command port, LPAR off of HMC, IPMI, Windows SAC and many more. Access that spans/bridges Islands of Computing present in data centers today. One tool for all types of access hardware and servers6. allow quick work to be done of repetitive tasks to same servers via a "gang" connect facility that allows one command window that connects to many servers ( a gang of them ) at once. updating 100s of servers takes the same time as updating a single server. Time saved and a log file of every update. 7. Manage Operations provides great support including enhancements that make technicians' tasking manageable - lets them do more with less! .
