The Mangere Mountain Education Trust (MMET) is an Auckland Council Controlled Organisation. Mangere Mountain Education centre is a centre for education , recreational and international tourism. For schools it provides environmental and bi cultural education programs about the natural, historic and cultural values of Mangere Mountain and its related environs. For the visitor we have a range of guided and non guided walks, cultural and craft workshops and activities and provide a cultural gateway to the Auckland region. Uniquely our volcano combines out of classroom learning opportunities with free and independent tourism and recreational visitor experiences.
