The Manufacturing Process Laboratory is one of several laboratories in the USU Industrial Engineering Department. This laboratory was developed in 2005 by recruiting assistants from Industrial Engineering students themselves.This laboratory provides learning for industrial engineering students on basic techniques in manufacturing mass-produced products. Activities carried out in the manufacturing process laboratory are the manufacturing process practicum for Industrial Engineering students at the University of North Sumatra. Practicum is held from Monday to Friday. Courses that support manufacturing process activities are in the form of manufacturing process courses, material knowledge and Occupational Health and Safety (K3). This course is useful as a basic skill for the practitioner in practicum activities. Practicum activities consist of making Bill of Material and Routing Sheet, Turning Process, Scrap Process, Welding Process, Bench Work Process and Operation Process Map.
