The Maple Tree Inn is a French Cajun/Creole Restaurant and Craft Beer Bar on the South Side of Chicago. We have been in business since 1975. Our passion is providing the absolute best dining experience possible. We do so by employing a staff that is passionate and fanatical about the details that make up that experience. All of our cuisine is prepared from scratch, in house. We use purveyors, suppliers, farmers, hunters and fishmongers whose experience and expertise is second to none. We have fresh gulf shrimp flown in daily. We have gator meat and crawfish flown in bi weekly. All of our pork and beef come from farms who have pledged to be hormone and antibiotic free. We are committed to continuing to bring the finest in authentic French Cajun/Creole to Chicagoland. We are also one of Chicagoland's original Craft Beer Bars. We feature 26 Craft Beers on Draught every day. Along with Craft Beer, we also feature Signature New Orleans Cocktails and Small Batch Liquors. It is our mission to provide an atmosphere that transports you to New Orleans from the moment you walk in. You are warmly greeted by an original Schlitz Oak Bar from the Chicago World's Fair at the turn of the century. The Historically protected building that houses the Maple Tree Inn was built in 1890 and holds many secrets including that of being a speakeasy during prohibition. The fully restored original tin ceiling overhead is reminiscent of early Chicago while still keeping strong New Orleans roots. Our new addition boasts vaulted ceiling, exposed spiral ductwork, authentic French Quarter lanterns, Victorian Wingback Chairs and a Jazz Lounge. Come in and see for yourself why, in 2013 alone, we were named "One of the top 50 Craft Beer Bars in the nation" and "One of the top 10 Bars in Chicago with Food". We look forward to serving you. Cheers!Katie, Erich and the entire Maple Tree Inn staff
